The acrylic and urethane systems have substantially different physical properties. The acrylic flooring systems are extremely hard and are too brittle for applications subjected to excessive physical abuse such as impact, while the inherent flexibility and impact resistance of the urethanes offer potential for this type of application. Table 18.12 provides physical and thermal properties for the acrylic and urethane flooring systems.
