Five patients taking nortriptyline, desipramine or other unnamed tricyclic antidepressants experienced adverse reactions, some of them severe (throbbing headache, chest pain) following the injection of Xylestesin (lidocaine with 1 25 000 noradrenaline) during dental treatment.
