When we talk about behavior change, we mean achieving a high level of reliable execution of the desired behavior or practice. We mean moving, for example, from lOyo or even 85% desirable performance, to 99% or 100%. If a leader knows which behaviors are critical, this kind of behavior change is definable, measurable, and achievable. 

Applied behavior analysis is drawn from psychology. It is uniquely grounded in empirical research studies spanning more than 50 years. Research in education, clinical psychology, and organizational improvement all demonstrate the effectiveness of applied behavior analysis as a tool for improving behavior. Its power derives primarily from its concrete measurement of performance in observable terms.
