A further novel reduced-resin design is the ISEP from Advanced Separation Technologies, Inc. This employs a carousel holding 30 fixed bed columns of resin that continuously rotate to match 20 fixed top and bottom ports. Artificial dew and dry plate washes were collected on 24 mornings. The average dew volume was 82 mL and the average dry plate wash volume was 76 mL. Another issue with sampling is possible cross contamination of adjacent specimens or specimen carry-over.
