Warning readability

Review of your XXXX files reveals they have not been properly validated. .. there is no ability to generate accurate and complete copies of the records in human readable and electronic form, there is no protection of records to enable their accurate and ready retrieval. . . as well as other significant deficiencies. Liability issues can arise with both direct printing and labeling when warning signs or labels wear beyond readability or simply fall off a product. 

Researchers find that warning layout (spatial structure) and organization (semantic structure) can also influences effectiveness. It can affect the readability and memorability of warning information. Some results may be as references for placement design, such as warning in outline form is regarded as more appealing, easier to process, and more effective than other layouts.

Signs must meet many characteristics, particularly when used as warnings and instructions. Refer to Chapter 7 for a discussion of warnings and instructions for products. Tables 7-1 and 9-2 provided characteristics of warnings. Chapter 33 discusses characteristics of visual displays that reduce reading errors. Chapter 33 also discusses the size of text that people can read from various distances and the importance of font for readability. 

A warning sign must be readable from a distance of 20 ft. Sometimes there are unfavorable reading conditions, but above 1 fc. The message is important. How high should the letters be ...
