Vinblastine choriocarcinoma

Choriocarcinoma (trophoblastic neoplasms) Methotrexate alone or etoposide and cisplatin Vinblastine, mercaptopurine, chlorambucil, doxorubicin... [Pg.1312]

VINBLASTINE is administered i.v. once weekly in doses of 6 mg/m (up to 18 mg/ m body area) in the treatment of Hodgkin s disease and choriocarcinoma. [Pg.93]

Vinblastine, with the commercial names Velbe , Velban and Vinblastine , is used alone and as a component of combined regimens with other anticancer drugs in the treatment of Hodgkin s disease and other lymphomas, in advanced carcinoma of the testis, in Kaposi s sarcoma and histiocytosis X. It can also be used in the treatment of breast carcinoma and choriocarcinoma. The use of vinblastine is mainly limited by its hematological toxicity due to destruction of the bone marrow [13-15]. [Pg.817]

The most important clinical use of vinblastine is with bleomycin and cisplatin (see below) in the curative therapy of metastatic testicular tumors, although it has been supplanted by etoposide or ifosfamide in this disease. It is a component of the standard curative AB VD regimen for Hodgkin s disease (adriamycin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine). It also is active in Kaposi s sarcoma, neuroblastoma, and histiocytosis X, and in carcinoma of the breast and choriocarcinoma. [Pg.882]

Clinical use Vincristine is a component of the MOPP and COP combination dmg regimens and is used in acute leukemias, lymphomas, Wilms tumor, and choriocarcinoma. Vinblastine is a component of the ABVD regimen for Hodgkin s disease and is used for other lymphomas, neuroblastoma, testicular carcinoma, and Kaposi s sarcoma. [Pg.482]

Vinblastine or vincaleukoblastine is an indole alkaloid obtained from Madagascan periwinkle, Cathco anthus roseus G. Don., (Family Apooynaoeae) which has been formerly designated Vinoa rosea L. Vinblastine is one of the antineoplastic agents and is mainly used for the treatment of Hodgkin s disease and other lymphomas as well as choriocarcinoma (1). [Pg.614]
