Variables of reaction

Rodent models thus provide opportunities to explore the relationship between dopaminergic function, attention and consciousness. Based upon the well designed study of Granon et al. (2000) showing a clear improvement of attentional performance after the infusion of a D1 agonist into the prefrontal cortex, further study of cortical arousal and variability of reaction times in these models may provide important information. The preliminary data indicating that D2 receptor antagonists may increase cortical arousal (Sebban et al., 1999) is contrary to expectation and requires confirmation... 

Almost all studies on induced indirect defenses have looked at the effects of an attack by a single herbivore or pathogen species. In a natural situation, however, plants often suffer from simultaneous attacks by multiple adversaries. Many plants carry several herbivores and they can be infested by pathogens at the same time that they are eaten by herbivores. This should again contribute to the variability of reactions that plants exhibit. Plant infestations by multiple species and their crosseffects have been studied for direct defenses (Hatcher, 1995 Agrawal et al, 1999 Rostas et al., 2003), but not yet in the context of indirect defenses. 

The above discussion can serve as an example of how the Ziegler-Natta catalysts can — due to their wide variability of reactions — make difficult such a seemingly simple task as the determination of the kinetic isotope effect.

The use of semicabarzide reduces concentrations of acetaldehyde (Caid) to unknown levels, and thus complicates the treatment of acetaldehyde inhibition on ADH. The integration rate equation with the predictor variable of reaction time can be worked out for ADH (Liao, et... 

Finally, Table 35 shows the scores of the cases and controls on the subsidiary set of psychological test variables (comprising the standard deviations of mean reaction time responses on ten different measures). Only one variable showed a significant difference between groups the solvent abusers showed greater variability of reaction times when correctly using the right hand to respond on the inhibitory version of the two-choice RT task.
