Trip valve Shuts off steam on overspeed Steel, stainless, and nickel iron... [Pg.662]

This conhguration is called intermeshed . It has superior characteristics. If, however, events of encompassing impacts like hres are included in the analysis, the separated conhguration might prove superior. It permits a more efficient spatial segregation of the redundant chains (switch-solenoid-valve-shut-off valve) and would thus reduce the probability of a hre to affect the redundancies at the same time. [Pg.371]

High level in steam generator, feedwater pumps stop, feedwater system valves shut-off, turbine trip 2... [Pg.36]

When the water temperature reaches the right level, the gas control valve shuts off. [Pg.48]

One of the most important safety components on any high pressure compressed gas system is the flow restrictor. There are two t5q)es of flow-restricting devices an excess flow switch and a flow restrictor. The excess flow switch can be either mechanical or electromechanical and has an excess flow sensor which trips a valve, shutting off gas flow when a preset limit is exceeded. The restrictor is a passive device (limiting orifice) which is sized to limit the flow of gas to a predetermined rate. [Pg.348]

Low (delivery) pressure process valve. This valve shuts off flow of gas to the process, usually at the panel outlet. [Pg.507]

Are shut-offs for bottled gases or other critical valves/shut-offs located where they can readily and safely be reached and closed ... [Pg.35]

Uther information required for either liquid or vapor contnil valve are maximum and miniiBiim inlet pressure, oontioi valve shut off pressure, maximum and minimum inlet temperature, corrosive nature of the process fluid, any. solids or contamfnante present ir pirocess fluid, and viscosity of fluid (especialJy for high viscous fluid). [Pg.140]
