V-nitrosopyrrolidines

V-Nitrosopyrrolidine. Pyrrolidine, 1-nitroso- (8,9) (930-55-2) Ethyl nitrite Nitrous acid, ethyl ester (8,9) (109-95-5)... [Pg.121]

In fact, several of the cigarettes which were machine smoked earlier and analyzed without precautions, when smoked by us under the same conditions but with precautions, yielded 25 to 100% lower values for DMN [A-nitrosodimethylamine] and NPY [V-nitrosopyrrolidine] for the mainstream smoke... The nitrate content of the tobacco appears to be a determining factor for the concentration of volatile nitrosamines in the smoke. Selective removal of these nitrosamines does occur with cellulose acetate filter tips but not with charcoal filter tips. [Pg.695]

Broadly, NOC are divided into two groups (a) /V-nitrosamines and (b) N-nitrosamides. In jV-nitrosamines, the two remaining substituent groups on the >N—N=0 atom can be either alkyl or aryl, or they can form the part of a heterocyclic ring (as in N-nitrosopyrrolidine). On the other hand, in N-nitrosamides, more correctly called N-acyl-N-nitroso compounds, one of these... [Pg.939]

A/-nitrosopyrrolidine (NPYR) A/-nitrosopiperidine (NPIP) /V-nitrosothiazolidine A/-nitrosomorpholine (NThZ) (NMOR) ... [Pg.421]

The potent carcinogen A -nitrosopyrrolidine has been linked to deoxynucleotides as in structure 133 u.v. irradiation in the presence of DNA caused chain-scission to occur. [Pg.263]
