The IR real-time monitoring method is versatile with respect to sample thickness. At a thickness exceeding 0.5 mm, measurements can be performed at overtone bands of weak absorption, whereas in the case of thin layers (<2 pm) the attenuated total reflectance ATR) method (see Section 2.2.1) is applicable. Generally, this method is well suited to monitoring the UV-curing of varnishes, printing inks, and paints that have been coated onto metallic substrates. [Pg.108]

The coating is applied by traditional trade practices, namely, using rubber squeegees and paint rollers. The applied coating is cured by a mobile curing unit, which consists of a cart housing power supply for the UV lamp (see Figure 111)T If the concrete is porous, a seal coat should be applied (aqueous UV curable polyurethane dispersion (PUD) is recommended). [Pg.242]
