Ethylbenzene Also called UOP Ethylbenzene. A liquid-phase process for making ethylbenzene by reacting ethylene with benzene, catalyzed by a zeolite. The process is usually coupled with one for converting ethylbenzene to styrene. Developed by Unocal Corporation and now licensed by UOP and ABB Lummus Crest.
