The leakage current IR of a reverse-biased junction can be expressed as a sum of several components that have been discussed in detail by Tamg and Pankove (1979). Under the present experimental conditions, the major components are the surface generation-recombination current Iv and the tunneling current /,. 

Small density of states, typical of the TOT atoms, reduces the leakage currents, the dissipative tunneling, and noises in measurements. 

As in the case of solution processed SANDs4, a substantial leakage current (J) reduction in is observed (10 - 10 2 - 10 5 - 10 7 A/cm2 at 2 V) after the capping layer is deposited (FI, F2 - Fl-cap, F2-cap). The leakage current reduction indicates that the capping material functions as an efficient electron tunneling barrier.4...

In addition to thermionic emission, thermionic field emission, and field emission (tunneling) currents, other currents such as defect-assisted turmeling, which may have a quasiohmic nature, can be lumped into what is called the leakage current of more or less unknown origin that can be expressed as...
