Fluorinated hydroxylamine, which has the same empirical formula as trifluoroamine oxide, nitrosyl hypofluorite, ONOF, and fluorine nitrate are not true oxide fluorides and, therefore, are not included here.

Trifluoroamine oxide absorbs light in the ultraviolet at 1 < 2200 A and, when it is irradiated with light of shorter wavelength in an argon matrix, the NF20 radical is produced and can be identified by its nine-line ESR spectrum (285).
