Whether the DWT/WPT should be computationally efficient depends on the particular application. Real-time applications would need to choose boundary extension methods that provide fast transform implementations. Applying the periodic boundary condition requires no preliminary extension as the DWT/WPT is inherently periodic. 

PODER is composed of two separated implementations the software transformation implementation and the hardware module implementation. Both will be described in detail in the following.

Attenuated Total Reflectance Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. Attenuated total redectance (atr) ftir spectroscopy is based on the principle of total internal redection (40). Methods based on internal redection in the uv and visible regions of the spectmm are also common in addition to those in the ir region. The implementation of internal redection in the ir region of the spectmm provides a means of obtaining ir spectra of surfaces or interfaces, thus providing moleculady-specific vibrational information. 

Symbolic-to-symbolic transformations are used in various symbohc manipulations, including natural language processing and nrle-based system implementation. See Refs. 54 and 140. 

Relays have inputs from several current transformers (CTs) and the zone of protection is bounded by these CTs. While the CTs provide the ability to detect a fault inside the zone, circuit breakers (CBs) provide the ability to isolate the fault by disconnecting all of the power equipment within the zone. Thus, a zone bonndai y is usually defined by a CT and a CB. When the CT is part of the CB it becomes a natural zone boundaiy. When the CT is not an integral part of the CB, special attention must be paid to the fault detection and fault interruption logic. The CT still defines the zone of protection, but communication channels must be used to implement the tripping function. Figure 1 shows the zones of protection in a typical system. 

The successful implementation of this strategy is shown in Scheme 4. In the central double cyclization step, the combined action of palladium(n) acetate (10 mol %), triphenylphosphine (20 mol %), and silver carbonate (2 equiv.) on trienyl iodide 16 in refluxing THF results in the formation of tricycle 20 (ca. 83 % yield). Compound 20 is the only product formed in this spectacular transformation. It is noteworthy that the stereochemical course of the initial insertion (see 17—>18) is guided by an equatorially disposed /-butyldimethylsilyl ether at C-6 in a transition state having a preferred eclipsed orientation of the C-Pd a bond and the exocyclic double bond (see 17).
