After the Training

As the displacer concentration increases, co decreases (Eq. 9.27), and it moves to the left-hand side in Eq. 9.28. The number of shock waves increases. If we are interested in obtaining an isotachic train after the development is over, we want to obtain n rear shocks. This is possible only if the displacer concentration is large enough, and co becomes the first in the ordered set of characteristic parameters in Eq. 9.28. This requires that co < fli. Training. After completing medical school, physicians must spend three to five (or more) years training in their area of interest (specialty). The years immediately after medical school are called a residency - probably because the trainees practically live (reside) at the hospital where they learn to care for patients. Some medical subspecialties require a fellowship, involving one to three additional years of training, after the residency. Table 10.2 shows various specialties and the number of years of training required for each.

One application of clustering could, for example, be the comparison of compound libraries A training set is chosen which contains members of both libraries. After the structures are coded (cf. Chapter 8), a Kohonen network (cf. Section 9.5.3) is trained and arranges the structures within the Kohonen map in relation to their structural similarity. Thus, the overlap between the two different libraries of compounds can be determined. 

After the incident, an investigation team determined that the first operator had not added the initiator when required earlier in the process. When the relief operator added the initiator, the entire monomer mass was in the reactor and the reaction was too energetic for the cooling system to handle. Errors by both operators contributed to the runaway. Both operators were performing many tasks. The initiator should have been added much earlier in the process when much smaller quantities of monomer were present. There was also no procedure to require supervision review if residual monomers were detected. The lesson learned was that operators need thorough training and need to be made aware of significant hazardous scenarios that could develop. 

After the eompletion of basie maehinist training, the maehinist should eontinue his training with on-the-job experienees. His skills should be tested, and he should be eneouraged to take on different tasks. 

P is a vector of inputs and T a vector of target (desired) values. The command newff creates the feed-forward network, defines the activation functions and the training method. The default is Fevenberg-Marquardt back-propagation training since it is fast, but it does require a lot of memory. The train command trains the network, and in this case, the network is trained for 50 epochs. The results before and after training are plotted. 

After the victim has been transported to the hospital the ambulance vehicle must be decontaminated by trained personnel. 

Keep in mind that we are not reeommending that your drivers should not be trained. On the eontrary, if it is reasonable to train the drivers, it is an exeellent idea. However, the truek driver population often is transient by nature. After you have invested time and money to train a driver it ean be diflfieult to ensure that you will be able to reap the benefits from this training. Drivers ean be dispatehed to a variety of plaees for a variety of reasons. Keeping this in mind, it makes sense to manage so that the drivers would not be required to be HAZWOPER trained.
