Throwing Sticks

The throwing stick is by no means a toy. It has a range up to 500 ft., and the power is sufficient to inflict serious injuries. Use the same precautions as with ardiery. Be especially sure to have plenty of room when you first try out the sport. An archery target is the most convenient to use, but any type of target in which the arrows will stick may be used.

The fine powder is recovered with fabric filters. In one test facility, a gas with 4000 ppm S02 had 95 percent removal with lime and 75 percent removal with limestone.
