The Chemical Industrys Excellent Safety Record

Many individuals who depend on television and radio for information probably believe that working in a chemical plant is a hazardous occupation. This myth is exposed by facts from the Bureau of Labor Statistics chemical plant employees enjoy one of the safest occupations. With all the federal pressures on the chemical industry to reduce injuries even further, it is astonishing that the second leading cause of death for the entire U.S. workplace was homicide in 1995.
