Tanporal measuranents were not often conducted with children (Temple et al., 2002). This work compared time-intensity measurement of 8-9-year-old children and adults, and it shows that the intensity of the sweet taste is higher in children than in adults, and that the sweeteess perception decreases more rapidly in children than in adults. Even if temporal perceptions may differ between children and adults, it appears unlikely that sophisticated, training-intensive techniques such as multiattribute time-intensity (Kuesten et al., 2013) or temporal dominance of sensations (TDS) (Labbe et al, 2009) may be applied to routine studies with children. [Pg.480]
