Data from an early successful calibration test performed at Temple University is summarized in Figure 5. One manufacturer s tube was tested at 200°C and 50 bars pressure with unbuffered solutions of 0.01 N HC1 and 0.001 N NaOH. Since the term cryptand only refers to crown ether derived polycyclic receptors, polycyclic systems deriving from other structural motifs are commonly termed molecular cages or molecular capsules, although other names such as nanospheres, nanoflasks, temple-type receptors, etc., can also be found. The word cage well illustrates the overall architecture of many of these receptors, consisting of a floor and a roof connected by at least three bars.1 For self-assembled receptors, on the other hand, the term molecular capsule is often more appropriate. 

The wealth of this city is readily apparent in its impressive architecture, modern temples and well-designed grid system. The University of Utah keeps the town young, and although the restrictive Mormon church keeps things in check, there are just enough bars and restaurants to keep the tourists in town.

Bar Koehbar s Hasmonaean uprising was not Christian but Jewish nationalism. Massada s fall exhausted it in 67CE and led Roman Emperor Hadrian to order the total obliteration of Jerusalem. Absolutely nothing remained of the city except for the western retaining wall. The Romans dedicated a small temple to Jupiter on the desolate site.
