Complex tellurium

The series of di-chalcogeno imidodiphosphinate ligands can be represented by the general formula (9.686a). Most commonly R has been Ph or Pr in synthesised varieties to date. Typical tellurium compounds are (9.686b) and (9.686c) with E = Te. Another recently made complex is (9.686d) [33,34]. [Pg.815]

The tellurium ligand seems to form bonds with other metals even more readily than selenium does (above), Complexes recently reported include (9.687). In (9.687c), the complex solid state [Pg.815]

Structure contains a 12-membered ring formed from alternating Ag and one of the Te atoms from each ligand unit. [Pg.816]

In the case of the complexes Et3P-TeX2, X = halogen, dimeric units units are formed which are held together by weak Te-X bonds (9.688a). Associated units of this kind are not uncommon, and occur with both Se and Te derivatives, for example, Ph3PSe(Ph)Br (9.688b) [11,35-42]. [Pg.816]

In compound (9.689a), the Te atom forms additional weak bonds to selenium atoms belonging to adjacent molecules in the crystal lattice. This can be compared to the related selenium compound (9.689b) which is also twofold axiaUy symmetric. [Pg.816]

No commercial application of this compound is known. It is used in preparing certain tellurium complexes and tellurates. [Pg.914]

A final example is the cationic trirhenium-tellurium complex [Te Re-(CO)5 3]+ (173) synthesized by Beck et al. (162) from the reaction between... [Pg.164]

Disodium tellurapentathionate, tetraphenylarsonium chloride, and sodium 2,2-dicyano-ethene-l-thiolate-l-selenolate in aqueous methanol produced an anionic tellurium complex with two ligand molecules coordinated to tellurium2. [Pg.45]

Tellurium tetrakis[2,2,2-trifluoroethoxide] reacted with 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (LH4) in tetrahydrofuran/pentane at — 20° to yield a cationic tellurium complex with two LH4 ligands, two tellurium atoms, and two bridging oxygen atoms4. The compound, isolated as the chloride, crystallized with four molecules of chloroform and two molecules of methanol. [Pg.90]

Several types of telluroether (diorganyl tellmide) ligands are known. They can be monodentate or polydentate, acyclic, cyclic, and macrocyclic as well as hybrid telluroether ligands containing other donor atoms in addition to tellurium. Complexes with tellmoether ligands have seen extensive research activity in recent years (for two most recent reviews, see Refs. 27 and 35). [Pg.4815]

Six-membered chelate rings are also present in the tellurium complexes cis- and trans-[Te(Ph2P(S)NP(S)(OPh)2-S,S 2. An interesting complex (104) has been synthesized by the reaction of K[Ph2P(S)NP(S)Ph2] and the dimer [Et4N]2[M02Cu6Br2l4O2S6]. Preliminary non-linear optical (NLO) data of (104)... [Pg.647]

In contrast to alkali metals or transition metals, complexation of [R2P(E)NP(E )PR 2] with main group elements is less well documented. Syntheses and structures of a number of tellurium complexes Te[R2P(E)N-P(E )PR 2]2 (E = S, Se) have been reported. It has been argued that electronic rather than steric effects control the geometry around the central tellurium atom. As examples four-coordination in (79) and two-coordination in (80). ... [Pg.204]

The first imidotin-chalcogenide cluster containing a terminal tin-chalcogen bond to be reported was the tellurium complex 62 (Scheme 2.2.13), which was unexpectedly obtained from the reaction of... [Pg.62]

Other tellurium complex halides. Tellurium forms a number of complex halides in the II as well as the IV state, some of the best-known being those with thiourea (tu) or substituted thioureas as ligands. The red Telv compounds are made by treating Te02 in concentrated hydrochloric acid solution with, e.g., tetramethylthiourea (Me4tu) ... [Pg.441]

Selenium and tellurium complexes (114, M = Se or Te) afforded tetrathiocine (115, mp 152-154°C) in 12% yield when treated with iodine (Equation (27)) <93P0L2849>. [Pg.721]
