Tee bolts

Larger work and sheet metal are best clamped direct on to the worktable, care of course being taken to avoid drilling into the worktable surface. When required, the work can be raised off the worktable surface by means of suitable packing or on parallels. Tee slots are provided in the worktable surface into which are fitted tee bolts, or tee nuts in which studs are screwed. Fig. 8.7. [Pg.125]

The top surface contains a radial tee slot into which two tee bolts are fitted. The central spigot locates the slideway for the top slide, which can be rotated and clamped at any angle by means of the tee bolts. Graduations are provided for this purpose. Fig. 9.6. [Pg.136]

Cast-iron flanges (ANSI B16.1, 125-lb bolt spacing) are permanently attached to the porcelain with high strength acid-resistant cement. Flanged chemical-porcelain 90° and 45° elbows, tees, crosses, reducers, caps, and globe valves of the Y pattern are available. Armored chemical porcelain is furnished with 1.5- to 2.4-mm- (Mfi- to... [Pg.977]

Designed for milling tee slots in machine tables, this cutter has teeth on its circumference and on both sides. To reduce chatter and provide maximum chip clearance, the teeth are alternately right-hand and left-hand helix, and each alternate side tooth is removed. To produce a tee slot, the groove is first cut using a side-and-face cutter, end mill or slot drill and finally the wide slot at the bottom is cut using a tee-slot cutter. Fig. 11.8(k). The shank is reduced to clear the initial groove. This cutter is available for standard tee slots to suit bolt sizes up to 24 mm. [Pg.172]

Reported evidence of the actual use of such tee joints in real structures is limited. Because of this, (pure) bonded tee joints should be used only after careful verification. The preferable method of joining should involve bonding and bolting, for instance. [Pg.484]

The hold-down plates type HP-P [1] are used in combination with structured packings, lie on top of teem and are stayed at tee column wall. They are intended to prevent movement in tee packed bed. The liquid distributor used together with packing is supported on tee metal HP-P Hold-down plates by adjustable bolts, thus making a support ring structure unnecessary. [Pg.498]

To allow easier installation in a large column, tee plate is divided into segments which are bolted together in tee column. [Pg.498]

Pipes up to a 5 cm (2 inch) hore can be lined, normally in lengths up to 3 m (10 ft), with rubber where required larger hores can he lined in lengths up to 6 m (20 ft). Standard flanged-bolted-type pipework can he used for ruhher hning screwed joints are generally not satisfactory. Elbows, bends, and tees can also be hned. Normally the substrate surfaces should be clean, metallized or primed prior to apphcation of a rubber lining. [Pg.369]
