Technologies for the treatment of gaseous waste

Waste gas streams are generated from several sources (in particular process vessels), which have to be treated prior to emitting the remaining gas to the air. The most widely used technique to treat these gases is thermal oxidation. [Pg.234]

However, other technologies are available and used as well. An example is activated carbon adsorption used for VOC removal from vent streams that are relatively low in flow and VOC concentration. [Pg.234]

Cross-media effects No further information submitted. [Pg.234]
