Who should read this book Students who anticipate performing TEQA will find the content very beneficial. This includes students at universities and four-year colleges that offer an analytical chemistry course with an environmental emphasis. As we have found at Michigan State University, there is a real need to teach incoming graduate students the principles encompassed in this book. At UCI, she teaches graduate-level courses in atmospheric chemistry on a regular basis. In addition, she teaches such classes as undergraduate instrumental analysis, in which she is developing a new laboratory curriculum centered around the analysis of complex environmental mixtures. Despite his international stature in research, it was important to Fred Shafizadeh to be involved in teaching. In fact, he insisted each year on teaching a freshman-chemistry course.
