Tabular Survey of Bark Wax Components

The major types of components reported in the bark wax of trees are shown in Table 6.4.2 a list of compounds found in plant waxes can be found elsewhere (225, 232, 292). The plants from which bark has been studied are listed according to family, with gymnosperms given first. Some of the results shown here have been reviewed previously (72, 177, 206, 260, 270, 388, 432, 434).
