Syringe dispensing

Suspend cell pellet with minimal volume of lysis buffer and pack into the back of a plastic syringe. Dispense yeast through syringe into LN25 to make frozen yeast beads or noodles (Schultz, 1999). Frozen yeast can be stored at —80° or processed immediately. [Pg.46]

Either powered manually or pneumatically, simple syringe dispensers offer a versatile, low-cost dispensing solution. Syringes have evolved into precision-engineered products designed to offer the accuracy, repeatability and stability required in electronics manufacturing facilities. For example, silicone and chloride-free, low-friction polypropylene syringe bodies are available in amber to protect the latest... [Pg.25]

The syringe dispense system is a very popular system and ideal for adhesives and sealants packaged in standard syringes. The principle is that a timed pulse of air is applied to the back of the syringe and this then forces the adhesive through the nozzle tip. The quantity dispensed is varied by the pressure applied, the nozzle diameter and the time of the air pulse [2]. Figure 8.8 shows a typical syringe dispenser. [Pg.123]
