Synergistic layered double hydroxide flame retardant systems

6 Synergistic layered double hydroxide flame retardant systems [Pg.347]

In a recent work, Zhang, Ding, and Qu examined the effects of LDHs with different divalent metal cations on the thermal and flammable properties of PP using intumescent flame retardant (IFR) and LDHs as flame retardants [68]. They found the addition of 1 wt% ZnAl, MgAl, CuAl, and CaAl LDHs can decrease the PHRR of the PP/IFR systems considerably. The lowest PHRR was observed in a PP/IFR/ZnAl-LDH sample. [Pg.348]
