Symbols, organic certification

Symbols Each EU country also has its own organic certification authority and code. For food and products imported from outside Europe the situation is more complex. 

The A+ certification is quickly becoming a status symbol in the computer service industry. Organizations that contain members of the computer service industry are recognizing the benefits of A+ certification and are pushing for their members... 

For those of us whose principle concern is our own or our children s health—but who are not and don t wish to be experts on nutrition— buying organic food is the easiest option. The organic standard, which requires a certification symbol or number on all organic produce, offers a genuine safety net, a basic protection against the worst of industrial food production. 

There are numerous rabbis and rabbinical organizations involved in the certification of kosher foods. Circle U is the largest of these organizations. Circle U certification is administered by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations [10]. This symbol originated in 1923 and the circle represents the letter O for Orthodox, and the U inside stands for Union (see figure of circle U symbol).
