SUPPLY CHAIN BECAME AN UMBRELLA PROCESS FOR OVERALL IMPROVEMENT 

In this chapter, we look at the current state of the supply chain effort and use a basic framework that has proven to be very useful for understanding the dynamism of such efforts and to help calibrate a firm on its pathway to the desired level of improvement. This framework is used throughout the text to guide readers in selecting the most appropriate models and then executing properly.
