Nitrodiphenylamine is a solid. Otto Fuel II contains 2-nitrodiphenylamine to control the explosion of propylene glycol dinitrate. It is also used as a solvent dye. Other names for 2-nitrodiphenylamine are 2-nitrobenzamine, 2-nitro-N-phenyl, 2-nitro-N-phenylaniline, and Sudan Yellow 1339. 

The various dyes move at different rates through the column. The six-zone separation is as follows Fat Red 7B, Sudan Yellow, Sudan Black (two components). Fat Orange, and Artisil Blue 2 RP. Compounds that tend to reside in the mobile phase move more quickly than those that prefer the stationary phase.

Its activity can then be lowered by adding precise amounts of water. Indeed the activity of alumina may be defined according to the Brockmann scale where alumina with 3% water added is classified as grade II and with 6%, 10% and 15% grades III, IV and V, respectively. AMCP 706-187 gives 30.85 kcal/mole or 130 cal/g for 1-methylamino anthraquinone, a frequently used red smoke dye, and 28.9 kcal/mole or 128 cal/g for 4-dimethylamino azobenzene (Sudan Yellow GGA). Shidlovsky gives 26.8 and 110 for auramine, 21.2 and 80 for indigo, and 25.3 and 180 for paratoner. Combining the data for heat output from the chlorate...
