Atmospheric concentration of any substance for which a dose or a permissible exposure limit (PEL) is published in Subpart G, Occupational Health and Environmental Control, or in Subpart Z, Toxic and Hazardous Substances, which could result in employee exposure in excess of its dose or permissible exposure limit (PEL)... [Pg.309]

The permissible exposure, inhalation, or dermal exposure limit specified in 29 CFR Part 1910, Subparts G and Z (OSHA standards for Occupational Health and Environmental Control and Toxic and Hazardous Substances). This is the 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) or ceiling concentration above which workers may not be exposed.
