Submarine Treaty

The 1922 Washington Treaty in relation to the use of submarines and noxious gases in warfare was signed on 6 February 1922between theUSA, the British Empire, France, Italy and Japan. Article 5 of this treaty stated that ...

The other signatories were Great Britain, the United States, Italy, and Japan. France failed to sign this treaty because of the fact that it also greatly restricted submarine warfare.
