Storage temperature and humidity

Shelf life — A period of time in which a -> battery can be stored under specified conditions before it fails to deliver minimum specified performance of energy and - power. The shelf fife of batteries, primary and secondary, is dependent on the type of battery, the storage temperature and humidity, and on the state of charge. The main sources that limit batteries shelf fife is self - discharging, - corrosion, and dehydration. [Pg.607]

Starting, auxiliary and packaging materials shall be stored off ground. Starting and auxiliary materials, and intermediates, or finished products, for which storage temperature and humidity, or other conditions are required, shall be stored under specified conditions. Solid and liquid materials shall be separately stored volatile materials shall be stored in a way to avoid other materials to be contaminated. The Chinese medicinal materials that have been prepared, selected, processed and pretreated shall be packed into clean containers or packages and they shall not be stored concurrently with those of unprepared, unselected, and unprocessed materials in the same area. [Pg.352]

Storage Temperature and Humidity. The influence of storage temperature on glycoalkaloid formation is not clear-cut, possibly because humidities varied widely in many temperature-storage studies (25). Immersion of potatoes in water may reduce post-harvest glycoalkaloid formation (23, 54), The effects of soaking or spraying with... [Pg.198]

The testing that must be performed in order to assure the rehabflity of solder joints in a microelectronic assembly is extensive because of the large number of possible failure mechanisms that must be addressed. Most tests are the same for both lead-containing and lead-free solders. Among the tests conducted most frequently and rehed upon most heavily are high-temperature storage, temperature and humidity, temperature and humidity with bias, mechanical shock and vibration, and hostile environment exposure. This section discusses those tests specific to high-tin solders. [Pg.971]

Period of time over which a material will remain usable during storage under specified conditions such as temperature and humidity. [Pg.139]

A distinction must be drawn between the cooling process and subsequent storage. Careful control of temperature and humidity is... [Pg.162]

Production Test. In a small-scale production test, tinplate containers with two commercially available enamels and two end-sealing compounds, which were selected from the results of this study, performed satisfactorily when packed with beef and ham. Beef was irradiated with 4.5-5.6 Mrad at 5, —30, and —90°C ham was irradiated with 3-4 Mrad and 6-7.5 Mrad at —30°C. For this production test, beef and ham were packaged in round tinplate containers and ham in Pullman tinplate containers, frozen and refrigerated products were shipped 1,200 miles by truck, and were gamma irradiated at various doses and temperatures. Irradiated products were shipped 1,200 miles in a non-refrigerated truck and stored at selected temperatures and humidities. The integrity of the cans was evaluated after storage for 10 days, 3 months, and 6 months. [Pg.40]

Test materials are stored under the conditions indicated on the label. Temperature and humidity for storage of test materials should be monitored during the course of the trials. [Pg.45]

In the case of reservoir systems that rely on the cohesivity of the blend due to interparticle interactions, studies are required on vibrational stability in simulated storage, transport, and use tests, including determination of the effects of elevated temperature and humidity. [Pg.654]
