Storage methods, data collection

There may be other settings in the test method, such as timings for data collection, and these should normally be left at the default values. The time for the experiment should typically be set to 30 min. This is normally adequate, but if steady state occurs more quickly, it is not a problem, because most tests can be interrupted. The instrument should be set to display the following information in real time storage modulus (G ), loss modulus (G"), corrected phase angle (8), and the actual percent strain. If the instrument has the capability to display the waveforms visually, this should be switched on. 

Section 1 - Project and Process. This starts with the project definition (objective, description, location, product and raw material specifications, quantity, quality, output requirements, throughput for equipment sizing purposes). Closely linked with this is a statement of the mode of operation (e.g. day time only or 24 hour operation, continuous or batch processing) and expected control philosophy (centralised computer or local, methods of data collection and storage, programmable controllers or hard-wired ). 

The deflection is measured by using a laser triangulation and parallax method. The laser sensors are responsible for measuring the distance to the pavement surface, and the deflection is calculated from the difference between the slope of the beam and the slope of the pavement at the initial point and after the device moves to the next point. The device is provided with a data acquisition system used for data collection, storage and analysis (Elseifi et al. 2012). 

Advances in sensor, data storage, and communications technology have led to the development of a hybrid approach to data collection and analysis that uses very highly capable vehicle-based data collection systems. This method of data collection has been used by some auto manufacturers since the introduction of electronic data recorders (EDRs) several years ago. EDRs collect a variety of vehicular dynamic and state data that can be very useful in analyzing a crash. However, they currently lack sufficient measurement capability to assess many human factors-related issues.
