Stop Recording

Measure the time until the reaction stops. Record this time in Data Table 1. [Pg.133]

These files keep a record of a session. The simplest approach is not to use diary files but just to copy and paste the text of a Matlab session, but diary files can be useful because one can selectively save just certain commands. In order to start a diary file type diary (a default file called diary will be created in the current directory) or diary filename where filename is the name of the file. This automatically opens a file into which all subsequent commands used in a session, together with their results, are stored. To stop recording simply type diary off and to start again (in the same file) type diary on. [Pg.459]

Press the Stop Recording button or choose Stop Recording from the Macro submenu. [Pg.152]

Macro In" box should display This Workbook if not, choose This Workbook. Enter "e" in the box for the shortcut key, then press OK. The Macro Stop toolbar will appear (Figure 13-6), indicating that a macro is being recorded. If the Macro Stop toolbar doesn t appear, you can always stop recording by using the Tools menu in the Macro submenu the Record New Macro... command will be replaced by Stop Recording. [Pg.246]

In conventional NMR it is virtually always possible to record the FID until it has decayed almost to zero (or into the noise). However, in multi-dimensional NMR this may not be the case, simply because of the restrictions on the amount of data which can be recorded, particularly in the indirect dimension (see Chapter X for further details). If we stop recording the signal before it has fully decayed the FID is said to be truncated this is illustrated in Fig. 4.15. [Pg.62]

With hydrogen flow at 200 mL/min, advance new tape and note baseline. Adjust the of et up scale about 5 % to be clear of the recorder stops. Record the stable reading average value as the zero sulfur reference and record as in 11.1. There will be essentially no difference in reading with or without hydrogen flow and with or without blank injection, if blank and hydrogen have no sulfur. [Pg.619]

Continue the run until the retention time equivalent to a boiling point of 538°C (1000 F) is reached. Stop recording area slices under the chromatogram at this point. [Pg.874]

After clicking the OK button, invoke the Data/What-If-Analysis/Goal Seek menu and select the appropriate cells so that the volume for the first pressure is calculated. Go back to the Developer menu and select Stop Recording. The recorded Macro could now be used manually at each pressure by placing the cursor over the next f(V) and hitting Ctrl/v (hold down Ctrl and hit v). However, the Macro can be Edited to make it work repeatedly until the data are exhausted. [Pg.11]

Rotating Beam Fatigue Test for Steel Cords. The purpose of this test method is to evaluate steel cord for pure bending fatigue (121). The test sample consists of a 3-mm diameter mbber embedded with steel cord. Different bending stress levels are appHed and the time to failure is recorded. The test stops at 1.44 million cycles. The fatigue limit is calculated from S—N (stress—number of cycles) curve. [Pg.90]

For either type pump, the bubble should stop between the 95 cc and 105 cc marks. Allow 4 minutes for the pump to draw the full amount of air. Also check the volume for 50 cc (1/2 pump stroke) and 25 cc (1/4 pump stroke) if pertinent. A +5 percent error is permissible. If error is greater than +8 percent, send the pump for repair and recalibration. Record the calibration information required on a calibration log. It may be necessary to clean or replace the rubber bung or tube holder if a large number of tubes have been taken with the pump. [Pg.250]

For cables such as in elevators or cranes, the service life might be based on 95% of the fatigue life of the material. In such circumstances, a composite cable would clearly last far longer than a metal cable. Moreover, the composite cable length, if measured, would be found to be longer than originally as time passes (an elevator would have to be periodically adjusted to stop precisely at each floor). Such measurements when recorded would be an evidential record of the cable per-... [Pg.335]

What should be recorded as a failure is very subjective. For example, low oil level may be considered too trivial to record, and yet it is an incipient failure on the way to a lubrication failure and ultimately equipment seizure. A truck backing into a pump would certainly stop the pump from functioning, but has it been included in the data collected ... [Pg.13]

Following the original rapid-fiow experiments of Hartridge and Roughton, the introduction of the stopped-fiow method, and the use of electronic techniques for rapid recording,rapid-reaction techniques have found wide apphcation in chemistry and bio-... [Pg.53]

Stop, start, emergency stop and speed controls are grouped adjacent to the engine, and the machine is usually equipped with instrumentation for monitoring its safe operation. Very often, a centralized control room is provided, particularly when there are a number of units in operation. Typical signals monitored and recorded remotely are ... [Pg.198]
