Status signals

Special functionalities required of the power supply. These include any power-on resets and power-fail signals needed by any microcomputers in the system, remote turn-off, output voltage or current programming, power sequencing, status signals, etc.

The alarm systems should have a philosophy that relates to the input data - number, types, degree of alarm, and displays and priorities. The information load on the operator has to be constantly taken into consideration, e.g., the distinction between alarms and status signals versus operator action that needs to be initiated. 

The controller also sends control signals to analytical instruments and monitors status signals from these instruments in order to integrate the analysis and sample preparation steps. 

The following text discusses first the ability of animals to distinguish and recognize other animals by odors without necessarily exhibiting specific behaviors and then the behaviors that are modulated by status signals. Chapter 7 discusses the sexual and evolutionary implications of signaling pheromones. 

Control signals for fast ADC units usually consist of a start command and an end-of-conversion or status signal. Other control signals are possible. In units with output storage-buffers, controls may be available to load or store in the buffer. 

Surprisingly, dominance status signals have been never investigated in anomur-ans, as, on the contrary, abundantly done in crayfish (Breithaupt, Chap. 13).

Charging sets are generally actuated directly by the driverless industrial truck or by the sequence control system, i.e. they carry out instructions prompted by external control signals and at the same time supply information on the current state of charging (status signals). 

Additionally, the engine status signal provided by EMS should not be older than 0.3 seconds. An older value could result in a too high deviation from the actual fuel consumption that may cause deviation in the estimated fuel level value. 

The Field Unit of the Supervision and Control System receives and sends command and status signals from the Motor Control Center. Signal conditioning and analog to digital conversion is made at the Field Unit.
