Spring-forward mechanism

A spring-forward mechanism of shrinkage and warpage was modelled for fiber reinforced thermosets. The process is affected by the presence of release agents. [Pg.295]

The fuze (See Fig 1-84), consists of a diecast body (C) with a neck which houses the primer (A). A cavity in the middle of the fuze body, extending across the perpendicular to the fuze axis, holds a rotor (E) and a lock assembly (G). A body pin (F) serves to hold the lock cup and lock spring. The entire forward part of the fuze body and its mechanism is covered by a thin steel ogive (B). When sufficient rota-... [Pg.900]

Application of non-contact mode AFM in anodic oxidation based lithography is an important step forward in this field [76]. Noncontact AFM has been used to create feature sizes <30 nm on a 65 nm resist (polymer resist) and was transferred through reactive ion etching (RIE) to the Si substrate (P-doped (100)) on which the resist is coated [77]. A scan speed of 10 pm s has been achieved using a heavily B-doped Si cantilever with a large spring constant ( 340 N m ) and mechanical resonance frequency ( /) MHz) and with a tip of radius of curvature... [Pg.711]

This test requires the knob to be rotated 100 000 times, 50 000 forwards and 50 000 backwards, at less than 32 rpm. The test thus involves 1.3 million actions of the spring. Afterwards, the switch must still perform satisfactorily, according to the other requirements of the specification for electrical and mechanical action, i.e. the spring obviously must not break, and the mechanism must still be positive, and at the required torque. [Pg.74]
