Sodium dodecyl sulfate stock

Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) sample buffer stock solution Dissolve 1.51 g Tris base to 15 ml of distilled water, and then add 25 ml of 50% glycerol into the mixture. Stir to dissolve and then adjust pH to 6.8 with HCl. Dissolve 5 g of SDS in this buffer and make up to 50 ml with distilled water. Dissolve 0.01 g of bromophenol blue and stir overnight. 

Stock solutions (1000 mg/L in acetonitrile) of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT), 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene (TNB), 2,4-dinitrotoluene (2,4-DNT), and 4-amino-2,6-dinitrotoluene (4-Am-2,6-DNT) (Supelco). Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and sodium borate 10-hydrate. Standard solutions of the various explosives should be prepared daily (using the proper safety precautions) in an SDS-containing electrophoresis buffer. Platinum and silver wires, 0.1mm diameter. 

Solution of 0.2 NNaOH and 1% SDS—Prepare a 10 N NaOH stock solution by dissolving 200 g of NaOH in 300 ml of water. Bring the final volume of the solution to 500 ml with distilled water and store in a plastic (not glass) bottle at room temperature. Prepare a separate 10% (wt/vol) SDS solution by dissolving 10 g of sodium dodecyl sulfate in 70 ml of water. You may have to heat the solution slightly to allow all of the SDS to dissolve. Bring the final volume of the solution to 100 ml with distilled water and store at room temperature. To prepare the 0.2 N NaOFI/1% SDS solution immediately before the experiment, mix 2 ml of the 10N NaOH stock solution and 10 ml of the 10% (wt/vol) SDS stock solution with 88 ml of distilled water. 

RIPA 150 itiM NaCl, 1% NP-40, 0.5% sodium deoxycholate (DOC), 0.1% sodium dodecyl sulfate, 1 mA/EDTA, 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0. This mixture is made from autoclaved stock solutions of everything except DOC and NP-40. Stock solutions of these last two may be made with autoclaved water. 

Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) Prepare 10 % stock solution (w/v) and store at room temperature. 

The purification of kid pregastric lipase was described earlier [20]. The surfactants cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), bis(2-ethylhexyl) sodium sulfosuccinate (Aerosol-OT) (AOT), soybean lecithin, Tween 20, sodium taurocholate (NaTC), and Triton X-100 (TX-lOO) were purchased from Sigma. Stock solutions of surfactants were prepared in 50 mM Bis-Tris buffer, pH 6.5, 25°C. The substrates 4-nitro-phenyl butyrate (4-NPB) and tributyrin were also purchased from Sigma.
