As no scoring function is perfect and each scoring function has its own strengths and weaknesses, we can combine different scoring functions to balance errors of one single scoring function and improve the probability of... 

Both UNR and EMU have an interesting outcome from DCM an approach to rating portfolios that is easy to use yet generates rich descriptive data. Both systems are wonderful illustrations of the creativity that emerges from the notion that a single score from a single rubric must be the summary of an assessment. 

Clearly, there is still much need for improvement of scoring functions, and tailored strategies beyond the application of a single score list of a standard scoring function must be recommended for virtual screening applications. 

It has been reported that consensus scoring is generally preferable to the use of a single scoring function [92]. Furthermore, the median rank is more suitable than the average rank in consensus scoring because the former is less sensitive to outliers [93].

The computation method employed is the ReCiPe method, with midpoint, endpoint and single score (World H/H). 

The LCA indicators chosen are shown in Table 7.3. For the purposes of the example, the results are presented successively in multi-indicator form midpoint and endpoint indicators) and then in the form of a nnique single-score indicator.

In addition, the joint presentation of the results in terms of midti-indicators and single score helps illustrate the compromise represented by the choice of one type of indicator to the detriment of another.
