Shodex OH pak

TSK PW columns and Shodex OH-pak columns are made respectively by Toyo Soda and Showa Denko and have become very popular aqueous SEC columns for synthetic water-soluble polymers since the early 1980s. Linear or... [Pg.499]

The TSK G2500 PWxl column, TSK G3000 PW column, and Ultrahydrogel column are very similar in composition. Shodex OH-pak KB-80M is... [Pg.524]

TSK PWxL, Shodex OH-pak KB-80M, and SB806MHQ columns are equivalent for SEC of a quaternized poly-(VP/DMAEMA) in a pH 7 mobile phase. [Pg.529]

The Shodex OH Pak M-414 normal phase support has been used to determine levels of thiamine in whole blood by using the ferricyanide post-column detection system described earlier. Samples were converted enzymatically to free thiamine prior to chromatography which was carried out with a mobile phase consisting of 0.2 M Na2HP04 (Kimura et al., 1982). Only 0.1 ml of blood was required for the analysis. [Pg.280]

Wu et al. reported in 1991 " the SEC of anionic copolymers, vinyl pyrrolidone and acrylic acid (VP-AA) with different mole ratios and molecular weights, using a 0.1 M pH 9 Tris-buffer with 0.2 M LiN03 as the mobile phase and the Ultrahydrogel 120, 500,1000, and 2000 A column set. Fig. 4 shows overlay of SEC chromatograms of anionic copolymers in a pH 9 buffer and a linear Shodex OH-PAK column. [Pg.2409]

The most extensive comparison of commercial SEC columns for water soluble polymers was carried out by Pfannkoch et al. The packings examined were TSK gel SW 3000 and 2000, SynChropak GPC 300 and 100, Waters 1-125, -Bondage I, Shodex OH-Pak B 804 and LiChrosorb DIOL. All columns exhibited pronounced ion exclusion characteristics for citric acid, which were, however, reduced by increasing the ionic strength. Hydrophobic effects were smailest... [Pg.228]

Figure 7 Dependences of the size exclusion distribution coefficient, K, for the small globular protein hen egg white lysozyme versus the ionic strength, /, of the mobile phase for several notional size exclusion sorbents of different average pore diameter, particle size, and surface chemistry characteristics. The sorbents employed in these investigations were 1, Synchropak GPC 100 2, Waters I-125 3, Shodex OH Pak B-804 4, Lichrosorb Diol 5, Tosoh TSK SW 3000 and 6, Tosoh TSK SW 2000. The Interplay of hydrophobic interaction and electrostatic phenomena, superimposed upon the size exclusion effect due to the differences in the pore sizes of the support materials, is particularly evident with these sorbents at high- and low-ionic-strength conditions. (Data ad ed from Ref. 98.)... The absolute value of was also established by light scattering thanks to a FICA 42 000 apparatus equipped with a laser He-Ne source. Mean values of molecular weight and additionally of distribution were obtained by gel permeation chromatography (Water ALC 201 equipment with Shodex OH-pak columns). The eluent was lithium nitrate (with 400 ppm of sodium azide as bactericide). Our apparatus was equipped with three detectors a refractometer, a light scattering detector (chromatix CX 100) and a viscometric detector developed in the Laboratory [20-21]. [Pg.139]
