AAV virions are small nonenveloped particles (20-25 nm) that carry a linear single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) genome, which is 4.7 kb in size. Two open reading frames (ORFs), rep and cap, have been identified in the viral genome and are flanked by T-shaped inverted terminal repeats (ITRs). The cap ORF encodes for the structural proteins that form the capsid, whereas the regulatoiy proteins are produced from the rep ORF (Figure L4). [For more details see (1).]... 

Surfactants having an inverted tnmcated cone shape yield inverted spheroidal micelles. Many double-chain surfactants such as AOT fonn such inverted micellar stmctures. These kinds of surfactant also fonn inverted anisotropic liquid crystalline phases. 

Salt acts as a completely mobile plastic below 7600 m of overburden and at temperatures above 200°C (2). Under lesser conditions, salt domes can grow by viscous flow. Salt stmctures originate in horizontal salt beds at depths of 4000—6000 m or more beneath the earth s surface. The resulting salt dome or diapir is typically composed of relatively pure sodium chloride in a vertically elongated, roughly cylindrical, or inverted teardrop-shaped mass.

Dilatant Basically a material with the ability to increase the volume when its shape is changed. A rheological flow characteristic evidenced by an increase in viscosity with increasing rate of shear. The dilatant fluid, or inverted pseudoplastic, is one whose apparent viscosity increases simultaneously with increasing rate of shear for example, the act of stirring creates instantly an increase in resistance to stirring. 

To examine the shape that this equation enables us to predict for log k or AG as a function of AG, we substitute the parameter for a specific case. The value of kfc will be taken as 7.4 x 109 L mol-1 s l, that being the value in water at 298 K. Values of k calculated from Eq. (10-66) are shown in Fig. 10-10 as a function of AG. Values of AG are also depicted. The value A = 80 kJ mor1 was used and Z was taken from TST as 6.21 x 1012 s l at 298 K. The effect of introducing the diffusion-controlled limit is that the plot is shaped like a truncated parabola. This figure was drawn with K = k /k-Ac = 0.2 L mol-1. The left side of each of the diagrams shows the inverted region where k decreases and AG increases as AG becomes more negative.
