Separator bar

Speciation of plutonium leached from the glass cubes is shown in Figure 1. The first bar represents the total amount of insoluble plutonium and is the summation of suspended plutonium (the difference between the values for filtered and unfiltered waters) and sorbed plutonium—viz., the amount removed from the cubes by a 0.1 M perchloric acid wash, normalized to the volumes of leachant solutions so that it is comparable to the other values in the graphs. For simplicity, the insoluble fractions are combined in one bar, whereas the various oxidation states in the soluble fraction are represented by separate bars. It should be noted that the ordinate scale varies among the graphs. [Pg.337]

The process profile is presented as a bar chart, with a separate bar for each parameter. The width of each bar reflects the relative importance of a parameter s maximum impact. The bar chart highlights process strengths and weaknesses. This is illustrated in Fig. 2.7, which shows the process profile for 1. It is immediately apparent that the weakness of the process is. its environmental abuse potential. [Pg.22]

The vertical design of 96 well dialyze block of Banker et al. (2003) allows the robotic system the access to the sample and dialysate site. The dialysis block with partially separated bars is reusable. The validity of the system was tested with ten different standard compounds, in comparison to standard ED, and literature data. [Pg.483]

You can also change the column width by using the mouse pointer. Place the cursor on the separator bar between column headings, on the right of the column whose width you want to change. The cursor changes to a double-headed arrow ... [Pg.30]

Click the mouse button and drag to the right or left to change column width. The column width is displayed in an "InfoBox" as you drag the separator bar. [Pg.30]

Excel Tip. You can adjust the widths of the Expression, Value and Context columns in the Watches pane by placing the mouse pointer on the separator bar... [Pg.278]

To insert a separator bar above the new menu command, choose Begin a Group from the shortcut menu to remove a separator bar, uncheck Begin a Group from the shortcut menu. [Pg.312]

This procedure installs a new menu command immediately below the Goal Seek command in the Tools menu with a separator bar beiow it. [Pg.315]

Use Caption = (the hyphen) to insert a separator bar, with OnAction ="" or omitted. [Pg.315]

Toolbuttons can be organized into logical groups by grouping them together using separator bars. [Pg.319]

Right-click on the button to the left of which you want to insert or remove a separator bar, to display the shortcut menu. [Pg.319]

If "acid brick" is to be used, the glass-reinforced asphalt membrane is now applied in the usual manner, and the brick laid over it, expansion joints carefully laid out and placed on the usual centers. If a monolithic, whether a %" topping or a polymer concrete, is to be applied, polyethylene separator bars should be set above the cracks around the periphery of every sheet, the monolithic placed, the bars removed, and the cavities thus formed filled with expansion joint sealant. If this is not done, you can be certain that, sooner or later, the monolithic will develop cracks at these points, telegraphing through the surface the pattern of the plywood sheets below it. [Pg.109]

Bar mold A mold in which the cavities are arranged in rows on separate bars that may be individually removed to faciUtate stripping. [Pg.90]

Units of milliequivalents per litre are used here to plot the composition of plasma in Figure 5.2 because the principle of electroneutrality is of interest it demands that the sum of cations in mequiv./litre equals the sum of anions in the same units. Cations and anions are represented as separate bars and the sums of the two are therefore precisely equal in height, reflecting the principle of electroneutrality. The total for each bar is about 150 mequiv./litre. The principal cation quantitatively is sodium, at around 140 mequiv./litre. Potassium is around 4 mequiv./litre and the remainder, magnesium, calcium etc., give the... [Pg.85]
