This research compares the country s present state and reality of the promotion of senior-friendly industry related in relation to Japan, the country of the greatest longevity, and suggests prospects and development plans for IT technology in connection to the senior-friendly industry. 

Senior-friendly industry is defined as the industry that pursues profit through providing health, convenience and safety that meet the physical/mental demands which derive from the biological aging and social/economical decline of abilities of senior citizens. 

Korea s senior-friendly industry has defined as a singular industry the products or services provided by private enterprises for the improvement of health and living of senior citizens and senior-to-be citizens. On the other hand Japan s silver industry is defined as a service industry since it supplies support based on market principles for the functional weaknesses of senior citizens. 

C. IT Technology for Application to Senior-Friendly Industry Products... 

In table 4, give a example for involve IT technology to senior friendly products. Products in present are excluded IT technology, but fusing IT to senior friendly industry is inevitable for improvement of senior life. 

In short, the aging of society in Korea is occurring rapidly and by referencing to Japan, a society where the senior-friendly industry is already active, it is possible to establish countermeasures for our country s senior-friendly industry and to support it as a new potential for a national developing power industry.
