Self-esteem model

The increase in self-esteem and trust plays a significant role at the summer school. An other important aspect is the opportunity for the participants to see female role models by meeting their female lecturers and come into contact with them. The students are thus encouraged in their choice of study, they continue and complete their study coinse. The dropout rate of female students is thereby reduced. 

I am sure you can see the strong connection between the emotional intelligence concept and the actively caring model discussed previously. Each of the actively caring person states—self-esteem, self-efficacy, personal control, optimism, and belonging—reflect an aspect of emotional intelligence, as conceptualized by Goleman (1995,1998).
