Selection of Thermochemical Data

There have been more studies on the hydrolysis of sodium (I) than there have been on lithium(I) even though the stability of NaOH(aq) is much less than that of LiOH(aq). The weak stability of the NaOH(aq) complex has led to a large scatter in the available data. Nevertheless, data have been acquired across the temperature range of 0-350 °C, and some of the studies have measured data at higher temperatures (to 600 °C) and at lower solution densities. [Pg.142]

The majority of the uncertainty intervals of the measured data fall within the 95% uncertainty bands of the linear regression. [Pg.143]

All the individual stability constant data were assigned an uncertainty of 0.2 log units by this review. [Pg.143]

Popov et al. (2002) obtained a stability constant of log j = —1.0 0.2 for NaOH(aq) using fixed ionic strength media (3.4 mol 1 TMACl and 25 C). [Pg.143]

THE SELECTION OF THERMOCHEMICAL DATA AND MORE ON STANDARD STATES... [Pg.16]

This series of papers contain critical reviews and selections of thermochemical data for the transition metal elements and their compounds. Tabulated are selected values of A.G , A,H", S , and electrode potentials at 25 C. Each article contains a discussion of the data upon which the selections have been made and the references to the source literature. The papers in the series are ... [Pg.763]
