Selecting Jobs

Selecting jobs to be analyzed is done on a priority basis. Select jobs based on the following guidelines.

From the File pull-down menu choose the Serial Processing option. Select the files D NMRDATA SERPROC 001001.FID to. .. 005001. FID and choose the use different Jobs option. Click the Define diff. Jobs... button and in the new dialog box use the Select Job... button to assign the previously saved job files H.JOB, C.JOB and CDEPT.JOB to the correct data files e.g. H.JOB to. .. SERPROC 001001.FID. Start the serial processing with the Excecute button and inspect the result. If you are not satisfied with the result adjust the individual jobs to suit your requirements. 

To make money, people sometimes select jobs that fall short of what they enjoy. A paycheck helps compensate for the effort. With no pay, a person should be careful. The key to the right volunteer activity is to know yourself and be honest with yourself. This means matching that which provides the most rewards for you with what is available in your community. If your rewards are right, you will probably stick with it. If the rewards are not right, you should leave. Your volunteer role should do something for the organization, but it also should do something for you.

To conduct a planned safety observation, a method must be established to select jobs to observe. The same selection method used in job safety analysis can be used in the job observation selection. These selections are divided into four areas listed below. 

Select jobs or tasks where accidents have occurred. Jobs may be selected where there have been repeated accidents or lost time due to accidents, or jobs where accidents have required medical treatment. Other selections may be jobs that are not done where the hazards may not be fully known.
