Seaming tape

Seaming tape is a cotton or viscose twill-woven tape used for stabilizing seams. 

Duct mastic has replaced duct tape as the most effective sealing material. Mastic is a fibrous, elastomeric compound that permanently seals duct connections and seams. Another available product has two faces of aluminum foil over a core of glass scrim webbing it is coated with asphalt. The membrane is 0.012 in. thick. This material has not been tested as a barrier against diffusive flow of radon, but its performance should be similar to that of other foil-faced products. Seams are sealed with aluminum tape. 

Exposed shafts and shaft couplings shall be wrapped with waterproof, moldable waxed cloth or volatile-corrosion inhibitor paper. The seams shall be sealed with oil-proof adhesive tape. 

Stealth aircraft are often painted a medium gray or bluish gray that matches the sky so that it does not stand out. Coatings are composed of RAM that penetrates cracks reducing the number of minor repairs and use of special tape for repair. Every screw, panel, seam, and gap is covered with a special tape or the RAM coating adding to the bomber s stealthiness. 

The insulating cushion is fixed on the inner membrane and additionally hooked laterally into the eyelets on the arched girder. The surface is held in place by means of Velcro tape attached to the welding seams. 

Finish donning your chemical suit, including the hood. Zip up the suit and seal the seam of the suit with tape, ieaving a removabie tab. You do not have to tape around the hood (Figure S1.5). 

After donning hood, you shouid tape mask to hood and tape seams of suit. 

Seal seams and joints with duct tape to prevent dust and debris from escaping.
