Scientific Society for Measurement, Automation and Informatics MATE Biomedical Engineering Section

The Scientific Society for Measurement, Automation and Informatics was founded in 1952, with the aim to ensure opportunity for experts in the field of measurement, automation and informatics to share their knowledge. [Pg.165]

Our Society has initialized cooperation with other scientific societies. We are convinced that small specific societies cannot survive. [Pg.165]

EMBS Publications include EMB Magazine, and a number of IEEE Transactions Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology in Biomedicine, Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering, Medical Imaging, Nanobioscience, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, and Biomedical Circuits and Systems. [Pg.166]

EMBS has over 100 local chapters in 41 countries, including North America (69), Europe (19), Asia-Pacific (16), Latin America (9), and Middle East/Africa (2). These chapters bring direct service to our members, many of whom are unable to attend our conferences. [Pg.166]
