Safety slogans

Many reports are cocooned in a cloud of soft materials such as statements of the company s commitment to quality, safety slogans, and Mission Statements. None of these materials help the reader understand the report s contents any better instead they pad the report with material that gets in the way, and increases the time it takes to find useful information. The minimalist approach eliminates as much as possible of these soft materials. 

A safety slogan or goal sometimes used in industry to highlight the measurement objective of no incidents for a particular reporting period. Its rationale is that you should never be planning to have an incident, and therefore your safety goal should always be zero. 

Both products are available in a variety of colors and can be imprinted with a logo, contact information or safety slogan.

This is the kind of company that might offer prizes for safety records or for safety slogan competitions. Although the prizes are relatively small, there s a sense of competition. Such companies feel that safety programs are important, and the company generally feels responsible about safety matters [3]. 

The second level of culture involves the Espoused Values that consist of the content of the various strategies, goals, and core philosophies that are used by the leadership to guide the organization. What does the organization say about itself We see these espoused values in the form of safety slogans, safety mission statements, and various commitments made with regard to safety. 

Safety is a priority." This is probably the most common safety slogan foimd in workplaces and voiced by safety leaders. I have seen signs, pens, buttons, hats, T-shirts, and note pads with this message. No wonder safety and health professionals are surprised when I say that safety should not be a priority. To justify my case, 1 offer the following explanation. 

Posters depicting various safety slogans or messages that are placed prominently on the wall in areas where employee gather will enhance the quality of your total safety focus. Posters show your employees what aspects you are most concerned with or areas that have the most problems. Posters should highlight actual company employees if possible for the best possible effect.
