Safety management and housekeeping

Changing the checldist contents needs to be considered carefully so that the desired behaviours and standards are developed and improved. Leaving an item off a well-established checklist may lead to it not receiving attention in the future. On the other hand, simply adding more and more items may make the whole checklist unwieldy. If this occurs, a split checklist may be necessary with each part completed in alternate weeks. 

1 Emergency fire escape routes are unobstmcted (2 routes, 10 points per clear route) 20  

2 First aid boxes contain correct contents (2 boxes, 4 points per box) 8  

3 Work areas clear of trailing leads in walkways deduct 2 points per trailing lead) 10  

4 Electrical leads In area visually inspected and show no sign of mechanical damage deduct 4 points per damaged lead) 12
