Saf-T-Data™ System

The Saf-T-Data system is a pictorial-numeric-color system for identifying hazards, describing precautionary measures, and specif3ring storage restrictions. It is intended to be used as an addition to the ANSI Z129.1 system (see Chapter 16). [Pg.444]

A bold-face question mark symbol in the Saf-T-Data system signifies that the degree of hazard is not known and that the chemical should be handled as though it were extremely hazardous. An octagonal shaped Stop sign symbol is used when appropriate precautionary measures cannot be described by pictorials.
